7gypsies Embossed Eyelet Cards

Hello fab bloggers - Back today with some more 7gypsies "Trousseau Collection" from The Scrapbooking Studio.  

For these cards, A2 cards and 7g background papers were run through the Big Shot with the Sizzix Card Fronts, A2 Eyelet & Ornate die.  This is a great way to mass produce cards.  There are two card styles on the die, so 2 cards or 6-8 card fronts can be cut all at once!

For the Thank You focal, an SEI stamp set (Windsor?) was stamped in Versafine Vintage Sepia, then the scrollwork was added around the edges with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink.  The ovals were punched with Marvy Uchida ovals in 2.5 & 3 " sizes, then tapped on the edges with Victorian Velvet.

The background papers were run through the Big Shot with A2 embossing folders from Cuttlebug (Birds & Swirls) and Sizzix (Regal Flourishes).  Victorian Velvet ink was tapped over the top of the embossed images to add dimension.

A little ribbon from my stash (dotted ribbon below is from Quick Quotes), tied into a double bow with Becca's  Peg Bow Maker, topped off each card in this set of four.  A little more info on this bow maker.  I am really picky about my bows and this little jewel takes all the muss and fuss away, and the bows come out beautifully!  Check out Becca's blog here to see her beautiful creations!

CKC SEI Stationery Box Class

Today's post is another CKC St. Louis class by SEI Scrapbooking.  This is a great gift idea for anyone!  That college-bound girl or boy, Mom, Grandma, Sisters ~ you get the picture.  Anyone would love this!



Here is what is inside!  Sorry, it was really bright outside when I took the photos.  There are four gift cards, five greeting cards and a greeting gift card holder.  The stationery box contains three pockets in the back, an address book, pen holder and stamp pocket in the front.

Many of the papers had foil or pearl treatments on them.  Foil crepe paper was used on some of the cards, also.  The box was the only item made in the class.  The card ideas and papers were provided by SEI - some of which were altered (of course!)  Oh yeah ~ there is still leftover paper and embellishments to make more cards!  This was a great class!

CKC Technique Class - 2

Hello Bloggers!  Up today from CKC St. Louis

 is a layout done in the Techniques class with SEI Claire papers.  The technique here was paper-pleating.  When I got home with this one, I cheated and used my Tim Holtz paper rosette dies and the Big Shot  to make the pleated flowers!  I like the "neater" look achieved, rather than pleating the paper by hand!

All the pieces were chalked with Quick Quotes chalk ink in Pink Martini - sorry it's no longer available, but it sure did make the papers look great!

Some photos from my Son's wedding were added to this page - it went so well with the colors, don't you think?  And five of my six kids ended up on the page, too!  Bonus!

Also, I have to brag on my daughter in the turquoise dress, standing with her brother...she designed and made her dress, the other bridesmaids dresses and the bride's gown!  She's a pretty awesome talent!
