Teresa Collins Christmas Cottage Card

Hello Bloggers!  Up today on the blog is a card made with the TC Christmas Cottage line and some POW! glitter paper provided for my crafting pleasure from The Scrapbooking Studio in Bloomington!

It is a matchbook card with a few layers added in...a Fabrications brad topped off the layered die-cut flower from the line.  It was painted with Tattered Angels Glam in purchased during one of the TA classes held at The Studio last summer!  Fun!

The next layer down is the POW paper.  It is very glittery!  The matting layers were reversed for the "strike" area on the matchbook and it was topped with a stamp from "Just Rite" (CR-03820 Christmas Vintage Labels One) and die cut with a matching die from Spellbinders Antique Labels One.

The inside is layered with a gift card pocket and more vintage label dies and stamps and some gems from the TC Fabrications line.

I must say, this was a beautiful line of papers and embellishments to work with!  Thanks TSS!

MOM Frame

Hello everyone!  Thanks for stopping by the blog today!  Wow, it has been a busy week!  I just returned from what I thought was going to be a Vegas Vacation....well...it turned into a Honeymoon in Vegas!   My significant other of 9 1/2 years (Jim) proposed on bended knee right in the middle of the Fremont Street Experience in downtown Las Vegas and we tied the knot at Vegas Weddings within an hour of the proposal!  To say I was surprised was a bit of an understatement!  What a way to begin our vacay!!

 This is my Mother's Day gift project for my Mom.  SSSHHH! Don't tell her!  She doesn't have a computer!  My mother is such a wonderful example to follow and I am so grateful to have her in my life.  She has always been supportive of me and my choices in life.  She let me make mistakes and learn from them, without an "I told you so."  It makes all of us who we are, right?  Anyway, I just want to show some love to my Mom....I love you, Mom!

This project was inspired by a Tammy Tutterow class I took recently at The Scrapbooking Studio.
Details:  The background is a wooden frame purchased at Michaels.  After the background was stained with Rusty Hinge, Tumbled Glass, Stormy Sky and Picket Fence Distress Stains, it was stamped with border and corner stamps before layering on the papers (Graphic 45 and Core'dinatons) and cotton batting.  The papers and batting were inked with Rusty Hinge Distress Ink.  Spellbinders Nestabilities Grand Labels 4 was cut for the center focal, embossed with a paisley Cuttlebug embossing folder and inked with Quick Quotes new Baja Blue chalk ink.  Love the rich color!

 The vine is stained with Peeled Paint Distress stain and inked with the same color distress ink.
 Tim Holtz goodies used were the post (die cut), letter cards, chitchat stickers, tiny attacher, grunge board swirls, foliage, vintage button, jump rings, brads, perfect pearls, stream alcohol ink.  The paper flowers are mostly Prima. The base of the metal flower is from Graphic 45, colored with alcohol ink.

Little Yellow Bicycle Card

 Hello Fabulous Bloggers!  This is the 3rd installment of the March design team projects for The Scrapbooking Studio/Moline!

This is a step card which was modified from a larger version to accomplish the same look.  A Spellbinders Nestabilities die was cut, embossed and chalked, then layered with a de-bossed sticker to create the focal.  The striped background was hand made from strips of all the Little Yellow Bicycle patterned papers ~ quite an undertaking, but I was really pleased with the end result!

A de-bossed sticker and ticket completed the inside.

Someone Turned 50

Hello Fabulous Fellow Bloggers!  Someone turned 50...It was my Sister!  Even though the inside of the card was a little "in her face" about her age, I still wanted it to be pretty.  Quick Quotes French Quarter was used for all the papers.  Spellbinders Nestability beaded ovals for the focals.  The bird is also Nestabilities, a closer look below. 

 The flower is alternating layers of cream and black silk and paper flowers topped with a seam binding bow.



The stamps are from Paper Wishes Birthday Greetings Set with black Stazon.  The "50" is black glittered Thickers.

 A black skeleton leaf and some tulle layers were also tucked in there, too!

 The card was so thick, an envelo-box was made from matching paper and wrapped with a belly band to match the card front.

I was very happy with the result and my Sis loved the card, so mission accomplished!  Thanks for stopping by the blog today!   Be Inspired!  Jules

Sympathy Card

 Hi Bloggers!  Thanks for stopping by today!  The card being shared today was my first attempt at creating "scenery" with stickers and chalk.  The card was cut and embossed on a Big Shot with a large label die from Spellbinders.  Then, chalk was applied to the background to look like sky and grass.  The path is chalk and brush markers.  Two sets of Mrs. Grossman's stickers were assembled and dimensionalized with tiny slivers of foam squares.  It was a tedious process, but I was pleased with the outcome.  The inside layers were cut from smaller label dies and chalked, stamped with Azure Stazon and finally, embossed with clear embossing powder.
                                                                                    I know, I know ~ no ribbons or bling on this one,   right?  Like I said, it WAS my FIRST attempt at scenery!  Baby steps!

Gift Card Set

Hello Bloggers!  Sharing a gift project with you today.  The card set (sorry, only pic I have) fit perfectly into the box (after a whole lot of experimentation!) cut from Tags, Bags, Boxes & More cart from Cricut on Quick Quotes papers Ode to Joy line.  The flowers were punched and dry embossed from coordinating papers.  After this project was completed, I had secretly wished I had made all the cards to match the packaging.  That is a project for another day!

The two cards on the left were made from Karen Foster papers and matching stickers from my LSS, Scrapbook Dreams.  The gold card has Heidi Grace papers and HUGE bling on the Paper Studio flowers(!).  It has stamped sentiments from Paper Wishes on it.  The purple card has a white base, embossed with a Big Shot embossing plate, then tapped Purple Passion Chalking ink from Quick Quotes over it.  The mat layers were cut from Spellbinders Nest-abilities dies.  The layers were cut from lavender card stock and a very tiny blue and lavender check pattern, then cut apart and placed as shown.  The flower started out white and was also colored with the purple ink, embellished with a butterfly brad and, of course, some purple satin ribbon!  Enjoy and thanks for peeking in today!

A Pair of Heels

 Hey Bloggers!  How about this pair of heels?    They are cut from zebra flocked paper (Paper Wishes) with Tie the Knot cart  from Cricut.  Nestabilities dies were used to make the layered labels and the sentiments were printed on the computer. 

An EK Success edge punch made the dotted strip inside the card even more dotty!   Thanks for looking today!
