CKC Technique Class - 1

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Let's call this Technique Tuesday!  At the Creating Keepsakes Convention, a technique class was offered on Thursday night, sponsored by CKC.  A number of vendors provided product and focused on a particular technique.

Up first is this Simple Stories Layout from Embellish IT!  The technique focus was making the flower on the lower left of the page from torn and crumpled paper and canvas, attaching ribbon to a photo mat and making a banner and attaching with a regular old paper clip!
This next layout is from Heartfelt Creations.  The paper was beautifully heat-embossed in copper, as were the flowers.  The technique here was to dry emboss the flowers for added dimension.  Daffodil Sparklets from Kaisercraft were added to the flower centers and some extra photo mats were added to the page.  The layout format was also changed from the sample provided, as I wanted to cover up the center of the large heat-embossed design on the right side of the layout.
This is a card using Paper Wishes Celebration Papier Tole.  The cake and banner are 3-dimensional layers created using foam dots between each layer.  Fast and easy!

Thanks for stopping by today... Be Inspired!  Jules
